If people wanted to go more than once, do you have alternative itineraries available?

Currently I have a Wednesday and a Saturday tour. The Wednesday tour offers different venues. For example, instead of the Freo Markets we walk through Fishing Boat Harbour and enjoy fish and chips on the water. For the brewery visit, we meet the brewer and walk through the brewing operation and for the fine dining we enjoy the ambience and good food at a different restaurant.

Yes.


What does a typical tour include?

Drive to the various venues and establishments; small tastings at each venue and meeting the chef or owner.


What is the maximum number of passengers?

Capacity seating is 12 adults. However we  can cater for larger groups by using external coaches.


What is the cost of the Day Tour ?

The Expo cost of full day tour is $120.00 per person.


Are there any additional costs?

This is up to you. There is an opportunity to buy at some of the venues or you may choose to purchase an additional beverage; therefore incurring additional cost.


If I buy things on the tour and are there discounts?

There are major discounts offered at selected venues and establishments.


Are there seasonal prices?

Yes, and they determined by the venues and establishments visited.


Is there a discount for group bookings?

Is there a concession?

Concessions are not available.


Is there a discount for seniors?

Concessions are not available. However, tours can be customised for various groups and prices change accordingly.

100% cancellation fee applies within 24 hours of departure

How did you choose the venues?

Venues are chosen by their selection of food, charisma, uniqueness and who offer a local flair.

How is the tour conducted?

There is one guide/ driver delighting you with information and escorting you into the various venues and establishments.


How many guides are there?

There is one guide per tour, per bus.


Is the tour guide a chef?

The tour guide has a great passion and love for food.


Do we get to cook?

Due to insurance reason, hands on cooking is not possible, however you do get to see chefs master the craft of cooking.


Can I bring my child?

Yes, Children can attend the tour however they are not to consume alcohol.


Can I bring my infant?

No as there are no infant facilities on the bus and limited facilities at the various venues and establishments we visit.


Is there an age limit?

Age limit is restricted to licensed venues.


Is the bus wheelchair friendly?

Not at this stage, however we are looking at purchasing another bus which will have wheelchair facilities.


What is the minimum number of people on each tour?

This is dependent on the type of tour and the venues and establishments we visit.


Where do we go? What are the venues?

Tours are constantly changing and we have a huge data base of venues and establishments


I don’t drink alcohol, can I have a discount?

There are no discounts available; however there are some amazing non-alcoholic beverages available at some of the venues we visit.


I am a vegetarian, can I ask for special dishes?

There are some amazing vegetarian options available at some of the venues we visit. We are also putting together a vegetarian food tour.


I have food allergies, can I make special request?

Please notify WOM TOURS of any allergies you have.


How long do we spend on the bus?

We try to minimize the time on the bus. Time is subjected to the type of tour and traffic conditions.


Will there be any toilet stops?

Toilet stops are frequent.


What souvenirs do I get?

All foodies on the bus tour will receive a WOM-Bag of goodies. This will include information on all the venues we visit plus additional discount offers.


What do I wear?

Clothing is casual and I recommend comfortable shoes as there is a little bit of walking during the day


Day Tour finishes “around” 5:30pm, what does this mean?

Tour may finish slightly later than indicated due to venues visited and traffic conditions.


For the Day Tour can I get picked up from my house? Can I get picked up from my hotel? Can I get dropped off at my house? Can I get dropped off at my hotel?

The pick up point is Barrack Street Jetty which is central to the city, bus station and train station. The drop off point is Barrack Street Jetty, however if your drop off point is on the way to the jetty and it is safe to do so, we will accommodate accordingly.


What is the difference between “Word of Mouth Food Tours” and “WOM?”

Word of Mouth Food Tours is the registered business name and WOM is simply an abbreviation of this.


What does WOM mean?

Word of Mouth.


What does the logo mean?

The “O” shows a plate of food with a wine glass to the right. The bubbles represent champagne and good times!


Why did you choose the colours?

Green is a representation of food

Burgundy is a representation of wine

What happens if I get sick from the food I eat?

All venues we visit are reputable establishments


Are you insured, how much?

All tour operators are insured for public liability up to $10,000,000


When do you update the tours?

We change tours every regularly with additional tours constantly being added.


What does degustation mean?

Small samples of food. Little tastings.
