Most of us can resist everything apart from temptation. When you’re talking chocolate, rich, dark and velvety smooth that melts in the mouth and satisfies the senses, no excuses are needed to overindulge.
Mmmm, delicate, smoky and woody bouquet tasting of wild berry and a hint of vanilla with a lengthy smooth buttery finish…..Cocoa is like grapes, influenced by region, soil, climate and rainfall.
Cocoa growing regions span from Madagascar, Trinidad, Costa Rica, Peru, Santo Domingo, Nigeria, Colombia, Venezuela, Tanzanie, Ghana and many more
Have you tried Valrhona Grand Couva, Chocolats du Domaine? Chocolate Santander? What about Amedei or the very popular Lindt range?
The Chocoholics Tour starts at Barrack Street Jetty and visits up to six venues taking you on a world journey of chocolate.
Lets look at what the Chocoholics Tour involves:
§ Meet the chocolatier and learn about the process of making chocolate
§ Taste pure cocoa mass and different percentages of cocoa
§ Experience the different tastes of cocoa from other countries
§ Sample milk, dark and white chocolate
§ Sample a hot chocolate shot
§ Sample Italian Chocolates
§ Enjoy a freshly made Moccacino or Choccocino
§ Sample Truffles
§ Visit one of the oldest and smallest chocolate stores in Perth.
§ Sample hand made chocolates that has been especially blended in Belgian

The Chocoholics Tour includes lunch, samples, major discounts at selected venues and a goodies bag of chocolates.
Below is just a small taste of our Chocoholics Tour
Word of Mouth Food Tours will do their bit to feed the obsession with a Chocoholics Tour launching in October, which showcases the best venues and producers in Perth. A good range of chocolate outlets in Perth are represented and it should appeal to most chocolate lovers!
First stop for chocoholics is Riche Fine Belgian Chocolates at The Mezz in Mt Hawthorn, where people will meet Chocolatier Didier Toubeau, learn about the process of making chocolate, taste pure cocoa mass and sample varieties with different percentages of cocoa.
Then it’s off to European Foods, where we will offer the group a sample of Italian chocolate, followed by a visit to the coffee roasting operation and coffee school with freshly made moccacino or choccacino on offer.
Chokeby Road, John Walker Chocolatier in London Court and Leonidas Fine Chocolates in Trinity Arcade will be tackled on a walking tour through the city, with a lunch stop at Leonidas before visiting Morish Nuts in East Perth, Whistlers in Belmont and the Fremantle Chocolate Factory.
Morish Nuts and Whistlers will give people a bit of a look behind the scenes so they get an appreciation of a factory line.
Individual / single, group and corporate bookings available.
Exclusive group bookings (minimum 8 people) available or a great way to meet new people is to book individually and join others on the Chocoholics Tour.
If you have a group booking (8 people or more), pick-up and drop-off is from your home, hotel, office or desired location. Individual or single bookings (less than 8 people) the meeting point is Barrack Street Jetty (adjacent The Lucky Shag Waterfront Bar on Pier #2).
For a group of 8 to 13 people, transport is arranged in a van; for a group up to 24 people, transport is arranged in a mini bus (min 17 to max 24 people). For larger groups (more than 24 people) the Chocoholics Tour is customised with transport arranged in a coach. (Form of transport may vary cost per person)
We can also customise the Chocoholics Tour depending on your needs and commensurate to your budget and number of people.

To confirm a single booking, full payment is required. To confirm a group booking, a deposit of two people is required with full payment one week prior to the tour. Payment can be made by credit card, cheque or electronic transfer. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for more information.

Exclusive tours are available for minimum of 8 people or more with a pick-up and drop-off service from anywhere in Perth (applicable only for exclusive tours and transfer fee may apply); Transport in a van (maximum 12 people) or large groups in a mini bus (minimum 17 to a maximum of 24 people); For large group bookings tours are customised and the number of venues included in the tour could be reduced offering more time to spend at selected venues; One pick-up point and one drop-off point only (Barrack Street Jetty- Bells Café; on pier 2) for individual bookings; Word of Mouth Food Tours reserves the right to cancel or alter a tour due to insufficient passengers; To confirm a booking credit card details are taken (not processed unless advised); To confirm a single booking, full payment (non-refundable) is required; To confirm a group booking, a non-refundable deposit of two people is required with full payment one week prior to the tour;2% surcharge applies for credit card transactions; 100% cancellation fee applies within 1 week of departure due to venues paid one week in advance to confirm reservation with Word of Mouth Food Tours.
